The database below is an unbiased listing of all riggers in the United States, organized alphabetically and advertisement-free.

When using our Rigger Database

We try our best to keep the database up-to-date, but the listings change frequently because roughly 20% to 30% of registered riggers go out of business each year while the same amount will start new rigging businesses, keeping the number at about 2000. So you will find many "dead" contacts while the newcomers may not have been included yet.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: We try our best to filter out companies like piano & vending machine movers who advertise themselves as riggers but are not in the market to move high tonnage industrial loads. Be aware that trucking firms and crane companies offer only a fraction of overall rigging services.

After filtering these companies out, we come to a number of between 600 to 800 riggers in the U.S.

How to Search for Riggers Elsewhere

If you choose to search other industrial directories, you may find it helpful to use the most common search terms: "Machine Movers & Erectors", "Heavy Load Moving" and "Rigging".

If you are searching for riggers by NAICS or SIC code, please use the following: The 2007 NAICS code (replaces former SIC code and 2002 NAICS) for riggers is 238290, defined as "Machine rigging" and "Rigging large-scale equipment".

Did You Know

Riggers often close shop because:

1) They fail at marketing themselves, often advertising only locally.

2) They overcharge for rigging jobs, so customers decide to make one-time investments in rigging equipment and do it themselves.
